Harry Kane has lit up the Bundesliga and Europe with his and Bayern Munich’s tantalizing form, but he’s much more than positive contributions on the pitch because he does so off it as well. Mathys Tel,
who shared the pitch with Kane for a season before moving to Tottenham Hotspur, reveals how Kane has been helping him this season.
“Harry Kane helped me a lot,” Tel began (Telegraph Football via @iMiaSanMia). “Four days ago, he sent me a voice note, and we spoke together about how I can be better, about finishing, positioning in the box. He told me ‘Whenever you want to call me, just call me. We’re going to talk together and try to find what is the best work for you.’”

Learning from the best must be an absolute privilege for the 20-year-old Frenchman, and what makes it better is that Kane will sit there with him for as long as necessary. “It’s very good because he takes his time to talk to me”, Tel continued. “To explain how I can be better. For me, he’s the best striker in the world and now he has played 13 games and scored 21 goals. It is October!
“He told me ‘Whenever you want, just call me or text me and we will talk. If you want to talk about football, if you don’t want to talk about football, you want to talk about life, I’m always there for you’. He’s a very good guy.”
Tel has found gametime in his last season with the Bavarians hard to come by and decided to make the switch to Tottenham. He still has a long career ahead of him and with Kane guiding him, there’s no doubt that he can reach the heights that he couldn’t reach with Bayern.
