Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway rematched earlier tonight (Sat., July 11, 2026) at UFC 329 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Unfortunately, the fight ended almost immediately in shocking fashion.
McGregor slipped twice to open the fight, falling to his back. Holloway took top position and landed a few heavy punches. McGregor returned to his feet, threw a punch, and then fell to the canvas again. Holloway was confused and gestured to the referee. He let McGregor return to his feet, and immediately,
it was clear McGregor could not walk.
Just like that, the fight was over in seconds. Check out the video highlights below:
Further video replay revealed that Conor McGregor injured himself with the literal first strike of the fight, a leaping left roundhouse kick. The whole thing lasted a minute, and I don’t believe McGregor landed a single shot. There wasn’t even a real exchange! The knee buckled in literally the opening seconds, and everything afterward was kind of meaningless.
Well … let’s all check back in five years from now for the next comeback?
