The Philadelphia Eagles are now 2-4 heading into their Week 7 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football, and both NFC East teams desperately need a win.
Expectations have changed a lot for the Eagles, whose list of injured players includes nearly half of the active 53-man roster, but this is still a rivalry game in Philadelphia on Monday night. It might not be the same as when Jalen Hurts greets the team out of the tunnel, but they are getting some guys back, including Saquon Barkley.
The run game should get a big boost with Barkley back, and if C Drew Kendall and LG Landon Dickerson are both able to get back onto the field, there might be some hope for the Eagles on the ground. That would certainly help Tanner McKee as he tries to settle into his new role as the starting quarterback — a role he hopes to keep with Joe Milton also looking for an opportunity.
Perhaps all the new lineups will benefit the Eagles offense this week, as they face off against their former DB coach, and current Cowboys defensive coordinator, Christian Parker. There’s barely familiarity from one week to the next, let alone from a guy who hasn’t been in Philadelphia for 10 months.
