Marvin Harrison Jr. is expected to be traded, so he is not playing in Week 5 for the Arizona Cardinals
. He could play as soon as Week, 6 but he will not be playing against the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams and Cardinals are set to face-off in Week 6.
As far as where Harrison is going,he’s expected to be traded to the Houston Texans. For about 24 hours it was a mystery where MHJ was heading, but DeMeco Ryans reportedly revealed on Sunday that the Texans will be acquiring the young wide receiver.

The Rams obviously need to worry about Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills first, but come Week 6 they’ll presumably have one less weapon to prepare for with Harrison Jr. off Arizona’s roster.
Harrison’s departure could be good for the Rams given that MHJ had his best game in the NFL during his rookie season against L.A. when he put up 130 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
But he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype for the Cardinals since being taken fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Texans are offering Harrison Jr. a change in scenery as he reunites with his former college quarterback C.J. Stroud.
He wasn’t being featured for the Cardinals in 2026, and his 5 catches for 85 yards with one score reflected that. Perhaps he’ll do damage in Houston and live up his expected potential.
Harrison has plenty of talent, but he hasn’t dominated at the NFL level with less than 2,000 yards in his roughly two and a quarter season in Arizona.
It’s a newsworthy trade, and it will continue to be interesting to see what other trades go down on and before the November 10th trade deadline.
The Rams may not be able to swing anymore big trades in 2026,but that shouldn’t stop fans from speculating. However, speculating about the Rams making the rare in-division trade for Harrison is now off the table.
