Barcelona goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has revealed what Hansi Flick told his Barcelona players after Sunday’s demoralising 4-1 defeat to Sevilla.
The loss followed on from a midweek reverse against Paris
Saint-Germain in the Champiojns League, and Szczesny admitted the boss was not a happy man.
“He wasn’t happy, obviously, because if you’re Barça’s coach and you lose two games in three days, it’s not the best scenario,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“You have to understand that if you lose games, you have to come back, and it’s time to get back to work, give our best, and compete for titles like we did last year.”
Szczesny also said Barca are not panicking about their recent results but must use the Sevilla game as a warning.
“I don’t think there’s anything to worry about, just that if we want to have a season like last year’s or better, if we don’t give 100% in every game and stay focused, what happened in Seville could happen to us again,” he added.
“But we have a very intelligent group and everyone has understood: we have to work, recover, and relax.”
