If for one second you thought the rivalry between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier was over then think again. The bad blood between the two UFC legends is still boiling, especially after seeing the exchange during their coaching stint on Russia’s version of Ultimate Fighter.
So much for that new friendship.
Back in January, it was announced that Jones and Cormier agreed to become coaches for the upcoming season of the ALF Global Reality show. It was a bit of a surprise considering the two former rivals
still share bad blood, but fight fans thought that maybe they can get along for the sake of the show. That may have been wishful thinking considering this is the same reality show that saw Nate Diaz and his team get jumped on set.
While the two former UFC champions have yet to interact physically they have had some time to chop it up verbally. On Friday, video footage started to circulate around social media showing trash talk between the two and a very intense staredown. In fact, Cormier made an argument that he’d beat Jones right now because they’re finally close in weight.

“I’m just wondering how much ‘DC’ weighs right now,” said Jones jokingly.
“You used to make fun of me about being fat,” responded Cormier. “Look at you. He tries to pull hit shirt and s—t to hide it.”
“We can’t afford for anything bad to happen out here,” Jones fired back. “We’re in the middle of nowhere. There’s barely anybody that can pull me off of him.”
“I think we all know what would happen,” he added when asked how an on-set fight with Cormier would go.
“No, no, no,” responded Cormier. “What would happen is now we’d be fighting at a more natural weight for me so I would probably drown him. In that pool right there.”
