New Las Vegas Raiders’ coach Klint Kubiak was excited about coaching Brock Bowers when he first got his new gig.
However, after seeing the third-year superstar tight end work on the practice field in OTA, Kubiak can’t contain his excitement about Bowers. Last week, Kubiak set the internet on fire when gushed about Bowers. Kubiak called Bowers a “football robot from heaven,” a “Cadillac” and a “standard beareer.”
Kubiak is a master play caller. Perhaps he can help Bowers achieve what he helped wide
receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba did last season and what San Francisco 49ers running back did in 2023 —- winning the NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards.
According to our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook, Bowers is an 80-1 longshot to win the award.
No tight end has ever won the Offensive Player of the Year award since its inception in 1972. Thus, Bowers’ long odds. But maybe he and Kubiak and make some history together.
