Barcelona midfielder Pedri has been attracting plenty of praise thanks to his regular starring performances for Hansi Flick’s side.
The Spain star was impressive again on Thursday night as Barca came from behind to beat Oviedo 3-1 in La Liga.
Real Oviedo star Santi Cazorla showed his admiration for Pedri after the game with a classy post on social media. He wrote: “Can u give me ur shirt, genius?”
Cazorla also showed a series of images of the two players and had earlier posted on Instagram stories:
“Simply thank you for your football, friend, keep bringing joy to those of us who love this sport.”
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes described Pedri as a mixture of “Xavi and Iniesta” earlier in the week after his display against Newcastle in the Champions League.
His comments had been well received by Hansi Flick who replied: “When you’re an attacker, you have more focus. If Scholes says that , that he was a wonderful player, it’s a good thing. Pedri is at an incredible level, as is Frenkie. I’m very happy with what I see in training.”
