- Kid Cudi gave the Mariners postseason celebration his stamp of approval.
- MLB fans across the country — including in Seattle — reported that they had game tickets stolen straight from their MLB Ballpark app.

- The Washington Nationals, who have been without a formal head of baseball operations since firing their GM in July, hired a new President of Baseball Operations — 35-year-old Paul Toboni, a rising star from the Red Sox organization.
- Astros right-hander Luis García, who has barely pitched since 2022, will now miss all of 2026 recovering from elbow surgery.
- Guardians DH David Fry was released from the hospital and will avoid surgery after taking a 99 mph fastball off the face from Tarik Skubal. The Tigers ace left-hander even visited Fry in the hospital.
- Tim Keown at ESPN penned an incredible longform piece on the year that was for the Athletics in Sacramento, in which the organization continued to antagonize everyone around them.
- David Schoenfield at ESPN handed out letter grades to all 30 MLB clubs for their performance this season.
- Marc Normandin at Baseball Prospectus wonders how Rob Manfred will walk the MLBPA-MLB tightrope for this upcoming CBA negotiation, and whether he’ll get to accomplish what he wants to before he steps down from the office. ($)
