After another primetime defeat, the Detroit Lions head to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. With offensive coordinator Drew Petzing facing his former team and the defense possibly on its last legs before the bye week, this game has some juice. This game will set the tone for Detroit’s bye week: will they head into it with adjustments and rest after a win, or an overhaul and stress after a loss?
“These guys are playing hard,” said Lions head coach Dan Campbell about the Arizona Cardinals. “Coach (Mike)
LaFleur is doing a really good job with them, man. They’ve been in all these games. I know the Seattle game got a little bit out of whack there, but these guys play hard. They can score points on offense. They got weapons. This defense it gives you different looks. They got length. Budda Baker is problematic. (Michael) Wilson, he kind of runs the show over there. We know Roy Lopez. He’s a lunch pail guy, going to give it everything he got and make you earn it, among others over there. Pretty good special teams group. We’re going to get this teams best. They’re going to be ready to go. They’re looking for a win and so are we.”
