All that’s left is the fighting.
On Saturday, Merab Dvalishvili and Petr Yan will face off in the main event of UFC 323 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, in the final pay-per-view event of 2025. It’s
a rematch of their 2023 fight where Dvalishvili won a dominant unanimous decision, and in the Fight Week build up, things between the former foes got a little heated; but none of that was present when the two faced off for the final time on Friday at the ceremonial weigh-ins, with tense but respectful stare down before each man gave their final thought.
“”I will show him the true meaning of ‘No Mercy’ tomorrow,” Dvalishvili promised.
“This is an opportunity for me to prove to myself that I’m still the top of this division,” Yan declared.
Things were much more intense in the co-main event face off, where flyweight champion went nose to nose with challenger Joshua Van.
Van kept things curt in his final comments, saying that it would be “kill or be killed” at UFC 323, while Pantoja offered a more comprehensive assessment of things.
“He’s a great competitor, great fighter,” Pantoja said. “First guy [born in] 2000 to fight for the belt. That’s very important for me, to show everybody I’m still very competitive, still high level, and still with this belt.”
