Woltemade not on Bayern’s radar (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Nick Woltemade might be gearing up to play a key role for Germany over the next two games, but the big Juventus striker is not on Bayern Munich’s transfer radar like he was in the summer of 2025:

He’s only scored once on loan at Juventus (and that was a penalty), so he’s not doing so well over in Italy as things currently stand. was a lot of money on the table for Woltemade at the time he was moving from VfB Stuttgart to Newcastle United. FC Bayern had offered over €50m [£42.8m], while Newcastle paid over €80m [£68.5m] in the end. Now, the new Newcastle head coach, Matthias Jaissle, admitted Woltemade wouldn’t be central to his plans at the club, which prompted the German’s move to Turin.
It’s a difficult situation for Nick Woltemade to come to terms with. Now, he has the chance to perform in Jürgen Klopp’s squad with the German national team. There, he can show exactly what kind of striker he can be. But at the moment, there’s no idea of trying to try and bring the 24-year-old to Bayern Munich. Of course, it goes without saying that if Woltemade does well for the national team, there’s always an option for Bayern. That’s because the club is always on the lookout for opportunities to fill the squad with quality German nationals – as many as they can get.
Woltemade’s move to Newcastle United proved to be disastrous in every aspect except for his bank account. Now on loan with Juventus, Woltemade is hoping to get his career back on track, but he will have to be a lot more impactful this season than he was last year.
As for the rumored Bayern Munich interest, it seems like that ship has sailed.
Kompany making push for Pickford (Goodison News)
Bayern Munich seems pretty set with its No. 1 goalkeeper for the future as Jonas Urbig looks like the choice to succeed Manuel Neuer.
However, there could be some within the organization who might want to — at least — look in another direction to see if there are good options to compete with Urbig. Per this report, head coach Vincent Kompany might want to take a look at Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford:
It’s said that Kompany has been gathering reports from old friends in football, all on Pickford. Nixon states it would take big money to tempt Pickford, who could fancy the move for the challenge, Champions League football and a move to one of the world’s biggest clubs.
Jordan Pickford is no stranger to being a wanted man at Everton.
The goalkeeper has become England’s best while on Merseyside, competing against the very top in his position in the Premier League. It’s been a decade of Pickford at the top level, and he still doesn’t get the credit that he deserves.
But with credible transfer links to clubs like Chelsea and now Bayern Munich, people are starting to take notice. It’s hard to imagine it actually happening, or Everton allowing it to.
Alan Nixon has reported on his Patreon on Sunday that Bayern have Pickford on their shortlist, and possibly ahead of Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen. Manuel Neuer has also been given a new contract recently, but the German giants know he needs replacing soon.
Pickford seems like it might be a bit of a reach for Bayern Munich. Sure, Harry Kane has paved the way for English players to move to Bayern Munich, but this rumor seems a bit far-fetched (at least at the moment).
An interesting note to this story is that Bayern Munich was rumored to have interest in Pickford back in 2024 during Kompany’s first season at the helm in Bavaria.

Renato Sanches might be striking out in Europe and could be looking to Brazil to revive his career:
Released by Paris Saint-Germain this summer after successfully reviving his career during his loan stint at Panathinaikos (24 appearances), Renato Sanches is still looking for a new home as September draws to a close. While the 29-year-old midfielder initially hoped to continue his career in Europe, talks with Getafe in La Liga—which had reached an advanced stage—ultimately fell through. The Portuguese international had, however, taken care to turn down several lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and MLS in the middle of the summer in order to prioritize a competitive sporting opportunity in Europe. However, the failure of these negotiations in Spain has completely reshuffled the deck, allowing several Brazilian clubs to re-enter the race to sign him in a big way.
Félix sounds like he wants to return to Europe (AS)
João Félix was once one of the most heralded prospects in the world. Now, he is a player in Saudi Arabia, whi might be hankering for a return to Europe.
“I’m very happy at Al Nassr. This will be my second year. I’ll be 27 at the end of the season. I do plan to return to Europe, though perhaps not right away. I don’t know if that will be at the end of this season or the next, but I want to go back, play in the Champions League again and compete there again. It’s always different. Playing in Europe, in the Champions League, against the best teams in the world gives you extra motivation. That’s definitely on my mind,” Félix said. “I’m very comfortable in Saudi Arabia. I’m happy and enjoying my football, but it’s true that I’m also thinking about returning. I don’t know whether it’ll be next year, in two years, three or four, but I’d like to play in European competitions again.”
LFC could trigger option to buy on Araújo (ESPN)
Liverpool might be considering exercising its option to buy on FC Barcelona loanee Ronald Araújo:
Liverpool are very satisfied with Ronald Araújo during his loan from Barcelona and could trigger their option to permanently sign the defender for €55 million, reports Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo. The Uruguay international has played seven matches for the Reds, five of those coming as a starter, but he is already convincing the club and Andoni Iraola. The versatility displayed by the 27-year-old to play both right-back and centre-back has also caught the eye.
Six EPL clubs eyeing Olmo (TeamTalk)
Last week, we saw some odd links between Bayern Munich and Dani Olmo, but if the Bavarians are actually pursuing the Spaniard (very doubtful), they would have competition from Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur:
Intermediaries have spoken to Arsenal about the potential availability of Barcelona star Dani Olmo, though they have been in contact with all of the Premier League’s Big Six, TEAMtalk understands.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been contacted and informed that a potential January deal for the Spanish international could be on the table.
Olmo is still a very good player, but is caught up in the mix at FC Barcelona, who has a roster brimming with talent.
