Talk of a Barcelona move for Alessandro Bastoni is really heating up right now even though the summer transfer window is still a few months away.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed negotiations between the two clubs are “underway” while Marca are reporting that no formal talks have been opened yet but that the Inter defender has “expressed his desire to play for the club next season.”
The report adds that Bastoni “would be willing to make the move and play at the Camp Nou” and that “Inter are also open to negotiations.”
Meanwhile, Milan-based journalist Giorgio Musso reports Barca are “pressing on Bastoni and want to include a player in exchange to lower the cash figure.” Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres are both mentioned as players that could be offered to Inter.
Bastoni does seem to be Barcelona’s priority at the moment but his price tag is likely to prove a problem.
Inter are thought to want around €70-80 million for the defender, but it remains to be seen if Barca are able – or willing – to meet that figure.
