The Philadelphia Eagles are off to a 1-0 start to the 2025 NFL season, and in Week 2, will face the Kansas City Chiefs for the fifth time in the Nick Sirianni era.
Sirianni talked this week about preparing for the Chiefs in a way similar to that of divisional opponents. He noted it’s not often they face teams twice in one year, and Kansas City — one of his former coaching spots — is the only team outside the NFC East that he’s played each year as a head coach.
These teams might be familiar with each
other, but they’re bound to look different — even different from how they looked in Week 1. The Eagles will have a defensive game plan that includes Jalen Carter on the field and (hopefully) will be able to execute it as such. And the Chiefs had a tough loss all the way in Brazil, and will be looking to make some changes to avoid the same fate at home in Arrowhead Stadium.
