Northeastern Preview
- The Huskies are starting the season with 14 newcomers on the roster, including four transfers.
- Top scorers Jack Williams and Cam Lund signed NHL contracts at the end of last season, and so did their starting goaltender Cameron Whitehead – so they’ll be relying on the rest of the roster to step up offensively.
- Northeastern added transfer goalie Lawton Zacher, who currently has a .930 save percentage and was a Mike Richter finalist last year with Brown.
- Currently, sophomore Joe Connor, junior Tyler Fukakusa, and junior Dylan Hryckowian lead the Huskies with 4 points in 4 games.
What to Watch For
- The Goaltending. After two big weekends, Cloutier definitely was fighting the puck a bit against Denver (though, the defense was struggling a fair bit as well). It’ll be interesting to see if there’s a switch in net against the Huskies, or if the outing against the Pioneers was more of a blip on Cloutier’s young resume.
- The Mental Game. I have to note this again – the Eagles struggled last weekend. Hopefully they will be able to put that game behind them and play with the same confidence we saw against Minnesota and RPI.
