College football recruiting never slows down, even in the middle of what’s been a fun, yet stressful season for the Michigan Wolverines. After a frustrating loss at USC, Michigan is hoping to bounce back against a good Washington team in Ann Arbor this weekend.
Michigan is hosting a handful of recruits this Saturday, including an offensive lineman committed elsewhere that the Wolverines are hoping to flip.
Michigan hoping to flip four-star Duke OL commit
One player committed somewhere else that Michigan is hosting this weekend is Sean Stover, a 2026
offensive lineman from Prosper, Texas. Michigan offered Stover at the end of September, and he has been committed to Duke since last November.
Ethan McDowell with The Wolverine ($) reported Stover — who is ranked just outside the Top-300 on the 247Sports composite — will arrive in Ann Arbor on Saturday morning before flying back to Texas that afternoon. It will be Stover’s first visit to the Big House.
“Getting to see the academic team, making connections with coaches and players,” Stover said. “I will also just be trying to get a feel for the university and game day atmosphere.”
After speaking to Stover’s offensive line coach, McDowell reported that Stover really cares about a program that has a balance of school and sports, which makes sense considering his commitment to Duke.
Like many recruits, Stover reportedly plans to enroll early. He would be Michigan’s fourth offensive line commit if he were to flip.
2026 Michigan commit helping recruit Virginia Tech OL commit
Some of the most convincing people for high school recruits can be their very own teammates, and the teammate of a Virginia Tech commit is trying to sway him to Michigan.
Adrian Hamilton, a 2026 three-star offensive lineman who has been committed to Virginia Tech since July, was offered by head coach Sherrone Moore and shared that moment with The Michigan Insider’s Brice Marich ($).
“I got the offer from coach Moore over the phone,” Hamilton said. “I was happy and excited because I’ve been a fan of Michigan for some time now and I’ve always liked their run game and offensive line play as an offensive lineman myself.”
It’s important to note that Virginia Tech fired head coach Brent Pry a month ago, so their committed prospects may be looking at other options while the school looks to hire a new head coach.
Hamilton plays high school football with Tariq Boney, a 2026 three-star edge who committed to Michigan in April. The two appear to have a good relationship, with Boney trying to flip him to the Wolverines.
“Of course, me and him are close,” Hamilton said. “We go at it everyday at practice, so it’s a mutual respect between us two. As of recent, he’s been telling me about Michigan and I respect that because I know if I was in a situation to be able get him to flip, I would be talking with him a lot.”
Hamilton does not have a plan to visit Michigan, but admitted he is “open to building a relationship with the staff over at Michigan.” Getting him on campus could be the final step in securing the flip.
“I’m very interested in Michigan,” Hamilton said. “I’ve been a fan of Michigan for some time. As an offensive lineman, I always liked their run game and offensive line play.”
