We’re nearing the end of the regular season, and the playoff race has officially reached a fever pitch.
As we have done in past seasons, our staff will be making weekly predictions for every game on the
NFL schedule. Each of the Pride of Detroit staff will pick the moneyline (winner of the game, no spread), but some of the members will also pick against the spread and even the over/under lines—there’s an easy-to-use toggle button in the widget below to cycle through the settings and in the week’s ahead, check out our records when it comes to making picks. You can also check out all of the odds for this week’s games courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
At 8:15 p.m. ET over on Amazon Prime, perhaps the best matchup all year kicks off when two NFC West contenders battle for first place in the division—and the conference: the Seattle Seahawks (11-3) host the Los Angeles Rams (11-3) from Lumen Field for this week’s installment of “Thursday Night Football.”
All teams have had their bye week at this point in the season, but we’re getting some football on Saturday this weekend, so the NFL has 12 games scheduled for Sunday.
On Saturday, the action kicks off when the Philadelphia Eagles (9-5) travel on the road to take on the Washington Commanders (4-10) for an unusual 5:00 p.m. ET start time on FOX. The late game will be of interest to Lions fans hoping for the team to keep their playoff hopes alive: the Indiana Chicago Bears (10-4) host the Green Bay Packers (9-4-1) in a battle for first place in the NFC North.
Your weekend of football continues on Sunday. The local Detroit audience will have a couple of options to choose from in the 1 p.m. slot. On CBS, residents from the great state of Michigan will see the Buffalo Bills (10-4) hope to keep their divisional hopes alive against the already eliminated Cleveland Browns (3-11). Over on FOX in the same time slot, the Los Angeles Chargers (10-4) are hoping to punch their ticket to the postseason against the Dallas Cowboys (6-7-1), and that rounds out your local coverage at 1 p.m. ET. In the late window, CBS has the only offering for Michigan residents, and what else would you be watching anyway? The Detroit Lions (8-6) and Pittsburgh Steelers (8-6) both need wins to keep the playoffs within reach, and their game kicks off at 4:25 p.m. ET.
“Sunday Night Football” closes out the day of football with a matchup between two AFC teams: the New England Patriots (11-3) take on the Baltimore Ravens (7-7) at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC/Peacock.
“Monday Night Football” provides for another matchup with playoff implications when the San Francisco 49ers (10-4) travel to Lucas Oil Stadium to face off with the Indianapolis Colts (8-6) at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Here is who our staff is picking on the moneyline, spread, and over/under for all 16 games on the NFL Week 16 schedule:
