The Braves have a bunch of injured arms on their 40-man roster:
- Joe Jimenez
- Reynaldo Lopez
- Spencer Schwellenbach
- Spencer Strider
- Robert Suarez
- Joey Wentz
Hurston Waldrep isn’t on the major league Injured List, but is also an injured pitcher on the 40-man.
It doesn’t look like there’s any reason that Lopez won’t return, so that’s one… though you never know. No one’s even talking about Joey Wentz, so not him.
The other starters have no updates, and time is running out… so probably not them? Time is also running out for Robert Suarez, but he doesn’t need to get stretched out, at least. And
then Joe Jimenez is the ultimate wild card in the sense that it seemed like his career might be over. It’d be funny if he came back and made an impact, because it would be so random.
