WWE added some intrigue to the Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton match at Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta in just over one week by adding a stipulation — if either of the two touch each other before the match, they’ll never get to challenge for the title again.
So they went about trying to get each other to do that on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Ottawa.
Orton:
- Said Rhodes was his bitch earlier in his career
- Went after Cody’s beloved dog
- Called his mother trailer park trash
- Asked if “that trashy ass wife of yours” would be in Atlanta for the match
Rhodes:
- Called Cowboy Bob Orton a screw up
No one took the bait but it made for one hell of an intense stand off between the two. Orton was particularly great
once Rhodes went after his dad, his face going blood red while screaming at Cody “that’s TOO FAR.”
Just one more episode left before the match.
