Jules Kounde has lost his place in the Barcelona starting XI currently which means it’s no surprise to see the rumor mill getting excited about the Frenchman’s future.
An update from Diario Sport claims that Bayern Munich remain interested in Kounde and could make a move for the defender in January to strengthen their defence if Kim Min-jae leaves.
Kim’s future at the club is uncertain and there’s talk he could depart in a deal worth €40 million. Bayern would then look to bring in a replacement and have
a few names in mind.
Benfica’s Tomas Araujo is mentioned as a possible target, while Kounde is also high up on Bayern’s wanted list and is said to be the German club’s “dream” January signing.
Kounde has said he wants to see out his contract at Barcelona but it’s not impossible he could have a change of heart if he continues to play a bit-part role in Catalunya this season.
