Ken Anderson returned to TNA for the first time in nine years. Unfortunately, he was on the receiving end of a beatdown.
Mr. Anderson was a guest on Frankie Kazarian’s talk show. The two-time TNA world heavyweight champion was in front of friends and family in the Minneapolis crowd.
Kazarian has his sights set on the TNA International Championship held by Steve Maclin.
Kaz wanted Anderson’s input on the claims of Maclin being a war hero. Anderson served in the US Army Reserve, so he could offer perspective in this matter. Kaz questioned if Anderson was a coward for only joining the Reserve. When Anderson asked if Kaz served, Kaz quickly dodged the question to say this wasn’t about him.
Kazarian’s patience began to wear thin, and he started poking Anderson in the chest. Kaz taunted Anderson for acting like a deadbeat in front of his kids. Anderson had enough of the insults. He twisted Kaz’s wrist in pain. Jake Something attacked Anderson from behind. Kazarian had harsh words for Jake last week, and that speech obviously convinced him to become a student under Kaz’s mentorship. Maclin arrived for the save to clear the ring.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease. TNA granted Kazarian a shot for the International Championship at Victory Road on September 26.
