New Orleans Saints fourth-round pick Bryce Lance may be one of the most intriguing players to watch as training camp rapidly inches closer, as the rookie wide receiver is already turning heads.
The North Dakota State product impressed throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp, consistently finding ways to get open and make plays. His biggest statement came during the final open practice, where he hauled in two touchdown receptions.
His consistency also stood out. Across the Saints’ five open practices,
Lance finished with the second-most receptions on the team, an impressive feat considering the competition in New Orleans’ wide receiver room.
While offseason success doesn’t guarantee a roster spot, it does create opportunities and builds trust. Lance has already earned the respect of the coaching staff and quarterbacks heading into training camp.
With several spots behind the Saints’ trio of Chris Olave, Jordyn Tyson and Devaughn Vele still up for grabs, Lance has positioned himself as one of the most intriguing players to monitor this summer.
