Olise to Madrid in 2027? (Madrid Universal)
While it seems incredibly unlikely that Bayern Munich star Michael Olise is going to make a move this summer, Real Madrid might actually be looking at the Frenchman more for a a transfer next summer when the contract of Vinícius Júnior expires:
According to journalist Ramon Alvarez (h/t Defensa Central), Olise has been identified as the ideal long-term successor to Vinicius, whose contract expires in 2027 with no renewal agreement in sight despite talks dragging on since early 2025.
But with Bayern
firm in their refusal to sell, and actively working to extend the winger’s contract and double his salary, Real Madrid have been forced to consider alternatives.
The message from within the club is clear: if the Olise deal cannot be done, Perez intends to sign one of the standout performers of the World Cup instead.
That is where this report could get interesting for another Bundesliga club — RB Leipzig:
Several names performing well at the World Cup have been floated as potential alternatives to Olise. One is Yan Diomande, the 19-year-old RB Leipzig winger who has been a revelation for the Ivory Coast.
Real Madrid chief scout Juni Calafat has been watching him closely, and the player himself favours a move to the Bernabeu over interest from Liverpool and PSG. Leipzig, however, would demand a fee in the region of €120 million. The other name is Ayyoub Bouaddi, the 18-year-old Lille midfielder who has already been linked with Real Madrid.
One thing that will quell the Olise rumors is a contract extension with Bayern Munich. Maybe after the World Cup, that deal will get done.
City could turn focus to Bouaddi (ESPN)
Manchester City is getting some work done during the World Cup. With midfielder Elliot Anderson already in tow, the Premier League power is reportedly looking to Lille and Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi as its next target:
After agreeing to a £116 million deal to sign midfielder Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, Manchester City are the latest team to join the race for Lille and Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, according to Matteo Moretto. Contact has already been made by City over a deal for the 18-year-old, who has impressed at the World Cup so far. Arsenal, Liverpool and Real Madrid have all been linked with a move, which looks set to go through after the tournament comes to a close. Meanwhile, Newcastle are braced for City to ramp up their interest in midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to the Telegraph.
Vlahović not worried about making quick move (Kicker)
Juventus is trying to give free agent Dušan Vlahović a hard deadline to accept its latest proposal, but the big Serb is in no rush to make a decision:
A week ago, it was leaked that Juventus had given Dusan Vlahovic (26), who was frequently injured last season, a kind of ultimatum. According to “Sports Digitale,” the Serbian goalscorer is hesitant and waiting for offers from other clubs. Currently, apart from Turin, which is offering eight million euros per season, only Besiktas is said to be interested. In the end, the matter could even drag on until the end of July, because Vlahovic himself is reportedly in no hurry.
Atléti wants PSG backup (ESPN)
With his pathway to playing time blocked at Paris Saint-Germain, Lee Kang-In has become a target for Atlético Madrid:
Atlético Madrid are lining up a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lee Kang-In, per AS. Talks are reportedly moving forward with the 25-year-old, who is keen on making a switch to the Wanda Metropolitano, and PSG would be willing to let him leave if they receive an offer close to €35 million. The South Korea international didn’t make a single start in the Champions League last season amid tough competition for places in manager Luis Enrique’s attack.
Real Madrid eyeing BVB double? (Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger)
Real Madrid could be looking at making moves for a couple of Borussia Dortmund stars — Nico Schlotterbeck and Felix Nmecha:
🚨⚪️ Nico Schlotterbeck (26/🇩🇪) and Felix Nmecha (25/🇩🇪) are both on Real Madrid’s shortlist. José Mourinho is a big admirer of the #BVB duo and has already gathered information on both players.
Mourinho is keen to sign a left-footed centre-back, with Schlotterbeck and Riccardo Calafiori among the names being monitored. Schlotterbeck could leave for €50-60m due to a World Cup release clause. Mou likes the player.
Real Madrid are also planning to strengthen their midfield and attack this summer. @SkySportDE
When asked about the potential of bringing the duo to Spain, German national defender Antonio Rüdiger said that good players are always welcome (as captured by Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg):
🚨💬 Antonio Rüdiger on José Mourinho’s reported interest in signing Nico #Schlotterbeck and Felix #Nmecha for Real Madrid:
“Good players are always welcome. But I don’t want to say much more about it. I’d be happy.” Praising Schlotterbeck’s qualities, Rüdiger added: “Nico has always been a threat, especially from set pieces. He’s aggressive, he’s always there in duels and his build-up play is outstanding. His left foot is gold.”
It feels like a longshot that either one of these players would make the jump to Madrid this summer, but Real Madrid could be looking to change things up after a down 2025/26 campaign.
Sporting having tough time getting Palhinha (Ekrem Konur via ESPN)
Even in a case where everyone knows that Bayern Munich wants to unload João Palhinha, the Bavarians are not looking to sell him for a cut-rate fee:
Sporting CP are facing a few hurdles in getting a deal for Joao Palhinha over the line. The Bayern Munich midfielder is set to leave the club this summer, but their valuation of his transfer makes a return to Portugal unlikely as things stand.
