UFC 331 stats called into question after suspicious staredown between Arman and Ruffy (Video)

Arman Tsarukyan is listed at 5’7” on the official UFC website, leaving him four inches shorter than Mauricio Ruffy, who clocks in at 5’11”. Both fighters came face-to-face earlier this week in “The City of Angels” to promote their UFC 331 co-main event on Sat. night (Sept. 19) at Crypto.com Arena and fans on social media are calling into question the official stats on the promotion’s web page.

“The UFC needs to check fighters heights again,” one fan wrote. “Ruffy is supposed to be four inches taller

then Arman but it doesn’t matter, my boy Arman still wins by murder in round two.”

That comment got nearly 50 likes.

“Yeah Arman, we see those height boosters,” a second fan commented, while another added, “Arman wearing sneakers to make Ruffy think they’re almost the same height.”

Much ado about nothing?

“Ruffy’s a top fighter, I think he is one of the best strikers in the UFC right now,” Arman’s teammate and former UFC champion, Khamzat Chimaev, told Adam Zubayraev (via Sherdog). “I think if Arman works on both levels, there won’t be any problems at all. Arman’s wrestling and grappling level and Ruffy’s are two completely different levels. Completely different. [Ruffy] is very good on the feet. Arman is very good on the feet. Arman feels very confident on the feet.”
