Bayern Munich are keen to make Michael Olise a central part of their long-term project, and the club have already made that intention abundantly clear to the French international.
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg (via @iMiaSanMia), official contract negotiations between Bayern and Olise’s representatives have yet to begin. However, there have already been informal contacts during which Bayern have communicated their desire to keep the winger in Munich for many years to come.
Importantly,
Bayern are currently not expecting Olise to express a desire to leave the club.
That is an encouraging indication for Bayern, considering the growing attention Olise has attracted following his outstanding performances since arriving from Crystal Palace. The Frenchman has quickly established himself as one of the team’s most important attacking players, combining creativity, technical quality, and an exceptional ability to influence matches.
Bayern previously secured Olise’s services until 2029, so there is no immediate contractual emergency. Nevertheless, the club would undoubtedly like to reward his development and secure his future beyond his current agreement.
There is still work to be done before formal negotiations get underway, but the initial signals appear positive. Bayern want Olise to be a cornerstone of their future, and, at least for now, there is no indication that the player has other plans.
