Tyson Dupont announced on Wednesday that he was about to undergo hip surgery after working through pain for months.
The NXT star shared the news in a video posted on X (Twitter) that was recorded from a hospital bed. In the clip, he emphasized the surgery would only be a “minor setback.”
Dupont noted that he’s been dealing with pain since July 2025, but he continued wrestling because he didn’t want to miss opportunities.
The Haitian wrestler debuted for WWE in 2023 and rose up the ranks in NXT as a member
of the The High Ryze faction alongside Wes Lee and Tyriek Igwe. The group shifted to a tag team of Dupont and Igwe following Lee’s release from WWE in October 2025, though Dupont hasn’t seen ring action since late February.
During Lee’s time in The High Ryze, the group feuded with Lee’s former stable, The Rascalz, at NXT crossover events with TNA. Lee has since returned to The Rascalz in AEW, performing under the name Dezmond Xavier.
In the video posted on X, Dupont opened by saying “today’s the day.”
“Finally getting hip surgery,” Dupont said, adding he’s feeling pain in the area since last July.
“Pushed through the best I could to make sure I didn’t miss any opportunities, but, you know, God’s timing. When it’s time, it’s time. So today, we’re taking care of that,” he said.
Dupont continued: “Minor setback for a major comeback. The Brick will be back in no time, but until then, best believe the grind continues. We’re still chasing greatness, because the best is always yet to come. Let’s get it.”
As of press time, neither Dupont nor WWE has provided a timetable for the star’s return to the ring. Cageside Seats wishes Dupont a full and speedy recovery.
