Tennessee added another piece to their 2027 puzzle on Friday afternoon, landing a commitment from Kadin Fife. The four-star defensive lineman picked Tennessee over Auburn, Georgia Tech and Texas A&M.
Fife checks in at 6-5, 285 pounds. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Fife is the 282nd ranked prospect in the class of 2027. He’s out of Summerville, Georgia, attending Chattooga High School. Fife becomes the fourth commitment of Tennessee’s 2027 group, which is just getting off the ground.
Tennessee made their offer to Fife back in March of this year. He quickly made it on campus twice during the spring and returned this fall for the Georgia matchup. Fife returned to Knoxville to inform the staff of his decision earlier this week.
Just a junior, Fife already has SEC size and length and will fit somewhere on the defensive interior. Some report that Fife is already near 300 pounds with still another season of high school ball left to develop. He’ll join Rodney Garner’s defensive line a little over a year from now.
Fife joins four-star tackle Princeton Uwaifo, three-star defensive back Kamauri Whitfield and three-star linebacker JP Peace in the class. The group currently ranks 12th nationally in the early going, per 247Sports.
