Hope you’re all having a nice, breezy Tuesday. The first part of this week has offered a sudden slew of Yankees rumors after what felt like weeks of near-silence. The Marlins’ Edward Cabrera and the Brewers’ Freddy Peralta have emerged in trade talks with the Bombers in search of a potential boost to their starting rotation. They also have a fresh offer in Cody Bellinger’s court, as one of their top position players from 2025 considers a return to the Bronx. Will it be enough? Will it be too much? We’ll find out soon enough.
For now, we want to get your thoughts on these rumors. Would you rather see the Yankees go after Cabrera or Peralta? The short version is that Peralta may be the safer bet for 2026, but he only has one year to go until free agency, whereas Cabrera would be under contract through 2028. Factor in potential prospect cost however you want — it’s your vote! And as for Bellinger, if you were to guess, do you think the Yanks end up bringing him back, or will someone decide to outbid them?
Even if we get a resolution to the rumors later this week, we’ll check out these results regardless. Make your voice heard!
