Jayden Daniels suffered an ugly elbow dislocation in the 4th quarter of a blowout loss to the Seahawks two weeks ago. He planted his hand in the grass to brace himself while being tackled, and his elbow bent
the wrong way. X-rays didn’t reveal any broken bones, and there was reportedly no ligament dame. Ian Rapoport said the injury isn’t as serious as originally anticipated, and Daniels won’t need surgery. He wasn’t placed on injured reserve when the Commanders shut down two other players injured vs the Seahawks. John Keim reports he’s just “feeling a little sore” and that’s one of the reasons they didn’t put him on IR.
The Washington Commanders are 3-6, and preparing to host the Detroit Lions on Sunday. They aren’t eliminated from playoff contention, but they’ve lost four games in a row, and were blown out in the last three. The Commanders play the Dolphins in Spain next week, and then have their bye week. WR Terry McLaurin is expected to be out until after the bye week. Could they both be on the field in Week 14, but the season has quickly spiraled and there will be questions about whether they should after dealing with multiple injuries this year.
