Real Sociedad defender Jon Martin has been linked with Barcelona
ahead of a summer transfer window where the Catalan giants are expected to try and sign a new center-back.Alessandro Bastoni is reportedly Barca’s top target, but Martin has been mentioned as a possible alternative to the Italy international.
Martin is well aware of the speculation but has played down talk of a transfer
“It’s impossible not to hear about it because everyone’s talking about it,” he told AS.
“You’re away from it, and whether
you like it or not, you see it; even my friends tell me because they’re out there all day looking at things. It inevitably reaches you, but like I said, I’m still focused on working with Real Sociedad.
“I’ve seen a few things; a lot of things are said, but I don’t know anything and I’m not worried about it, to be honest. My plan is what I’ve already said: to focus on Real Sociedad.”
Martin was then asked if Real Sociedad fans can rest easy about his future and replied: “That’s right, absolutely.”
