The Buffalo Bills will enter the weekend with five players listed with injury designations – and none of them are named Spencer Brown The other good news is, no one has been ruled out for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Both D.J. Moore and Joshua Palmer are questionable after a limited day of practice on Friday. For Moore, it was the first practice he participated in all week, while Palmer has spent the entire week limited. Both wide
receivers are dealing with shoulder injuries. Neither of them played in last week’s Monday night marathon game.
Ed Oliver practiced for the first time in two weeks. It was limited, but it was practice. Now the Bills’ defensive tackle is listed as questionable with the knee injury that kept him out of Week 5.
T.J. Sanders had an emergency appendectomy a couple of weeks ago. He got back to work quickly, missing just two games. But then he collected a shoulder injury last week in Los Angeles. He spent the first two practices of this week limited but was listed as a full participant on Friday. Despite the upgrade, the Bills listed him as questionable for game day.
Then there’s Dee Alford. The only nickel cornerback on the roster missed a game and a half after injuring his ankle in Buffalo’s loss to the New England Patriots in Week 4. He was limited all week this week and is, of course, listed as questionable for Sunday.
Last week the Bills signed Anthony Kendall from the practice squad to the active roster. Not an elevation, a signing. Not only didn’t they send Alford to Injured Reserve, the released Kendall on Monday (they signed him back to the practice squad on Tuesday after the third year corner cleared waivers). All those signs might have indicated they expected Alford to play this week, but now they maybe aren’t so sure – or they’re being coy.

On the other sideline, the Raiders have ruled out three players and listed another as questionable.
Defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway was ruled out after not being able to make any progress in concussion protocol and spending the entire week not practicing at all.
Trey Zuhne III, the Raiders’ back up right tackle, is questionable with a knee injury after a week of limited practice.
As for the other two names on the Raiders list of designations, both Carter Runyen and Dont’e Thonton, Jr are working their way back from Injured Reserve. They are both working through their 21-day practice window at this time.
