Pittsburgh concludes its 2025 regular season series with Cleveland as a trip to the postseason looms large.
Earlier this season, the Cleveland Browns traveled to Pittsburgh, where they suffered a significant loss to a dominant Steelers side. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was unable to get anything going all afternoon, going 29-52. The Oregon product was also sacked a joint season high, six times, by Pittsburgh’s hungry defense.
Now, Shedeur Sanders stands in line to make his debut against the black and gold.
Cleveland’s 2025 fifth-round draft choice has performed similarly to Gabriel statistically, but has looked slightly more impressive in terms of keeping Cleveland in games.
It will be a challenging task for the rookie, as the Steelers’ defense is starting to find its stride. Aside from a shaky fourth quarter in Detroit, Teryl Austin’s defensive unit was able to limit superstars Jahmyr Gibbs, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and more to subliminal impacts.
More impressively, Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers offense are playing their best ball of the season. The insertion of WRs Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdez-Scantling has paid dividends, as the two veterans continue to open up the field with their established route-running. Along with the two veterans, RB Kenneth Gainwell is playing inspired football, and arguably the best of his career.
As Myles Garrett looks to break the NFL’s single-season sack record, it will be interesting to see if it will be against Pittsburgh’s aforementioned starters. This is because Green Bay could gift Pittsburgh the AFC North title Saturday night with a victory over Baltimore.
Whether the division is won by Sunday or not, here is how to ensure you catch the 2025 finale of Steelers-Browns.
