LA Knight is a fixture in WWE’s upper mid-card, and a credible, popular competitor they can use in main events on occasion — as they did last Saturday at Elimination Chamber. He’s popular enough, in fact, that a vocal portion of WWE’s fanbase wants more for the former TNA World champ.
That “more” would obviously include a match at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas next month. He didn’t come out of last weekend’s premium live event with one of those, but was seen on Raw driving away with a bloody Paul Heyman
in a presumably stolen ambulance. That leads us to believe he’ll remain involved with The Vision through April 18-19’s Showcase of the Immortals, but given the injury luck of Heyman’s group, who knows if there will be any healthy Vision members without a dance partner for ‘Mania.
Knight told The Coach’s Corner:
“Don’t worry about the details, but I don’t have any. I know about as much as you know. People find that hard to believe but in all honesty, that’s just wrestling.
“When I came up in wrestling, I’d say most of the times that I was going to a show, I’d never even met my opponent before. So, I’m meeting him two or three hours before showtime.”
The 43-year-old Maryland native wishes he had more info on WWE’s plans for him, but he’s still selling the big shows:
”With that being the case, I don’t know a lot. I’d like to know more.
“But all I know is that it’s going to be — of course, as it always is —it’s going to be gigantic week. It’s going to be a gigantic success. You’re talking about people coming from all corners of the world to Las Vegas for essentially our big bash, our big kind of sendoff party for the year where things come to an end and things kind of start blooming into the new. I’m just looking forward to that whole environment and what that turns into and that whole week and weekend happens.”
