What is the story about?
The Wildcats have secured their first transfer for the 2026-27 season.
The 6’10” big man averaged 13.3 points and 7.4 this past season for the Oregon Ducks. Evans shot 46.5% from the field, 31.9% from three-point range and 73.2% from the line. He will have one year of eligibility left.
The Baltimore native brings much-needed size and athleticism to the Wildcat frontcourt. From his recent years in Maryland, it is known that Kevin Willard would prefer to have bigger teams than the one he had this past
season. That is also the direction that the college game has been going for years now.
The addition of Evans brings the current roster up to six, with other commitments rumored to be on the way in short order.
