WWE inducted the 2026 Class into their Hall of Fame last night (April 17) in Las Vegas, and the Class of 2020’s Bella Twins weren’t going to miss the event.
Nikki and Brie, who reunited in WWE when the latter followed her sister back to the company earlier this year, are scheduled to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team titles on Saturday’s WrestleMania 42 card. But an ankle injury Nikki suffered on SmackDown last month led to questions about her availability for the Bellas 4-Way with Charlotte Flair
& Alexa Bliss and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria against champions the Irresistible Forces, Nia Jax & Lash Legend.
Winning the tag belts — which didn’t exist when they were last together in WWE — is one of the main reasons Nicole and Brianna Garcia wanted to be Nikki and Brie Bella again. But on Friday we heard Nikki wouldn’t be cleared for tonight’t match at Allegiant Stadium… and that she’d be replaced by a returning Anti-Diva who Team Bella feuded with during WWE’s mid-2010s Women’s Evolution.
But last night on the WWE Hall of Fame 2026 Red Carpet Special, when Big E asked Nikki how she was feeling, she replied:
“I’m feeling great, just getting that extra rest in so I can be ready for tomorrow. Ready to win those tag titles.”
Large Epsilon then pointed out the large elephant in the metaphorical room, Nikki’s walking boot.
But asked if she’s still wrestling on WrestleMania Saturday, she replied:
“I’m feeling great, just getting that extra rest in so I can be really ready for tomorrow — Ready to win those tag titles. Oh yeah [I’m still on Saturday’s card]. I’m there, I’m here. I would never leave Brie’s side, ever. I’m still in it, I’m still there tomorrow, and we’re gonna go win those tag titles.
Sounds great, unless you can’t wait until the Raw After WrestleMania for Paige to comeback. But this is probably a good time to remind you to never to believe what pro wrestlers say.
