The Seattle Seahawks did not practice on Wednesday, but an injury report was still released during the team’s bye week ahead of next Sunday’s Super Bowl in Santa Clara.
Going by estimations, the most notable name on here as a hypothetical non-participant is linebacker Ernest Jones IV, who’s apparently dealing with a chest injury. The other DNP was third-string tackle Amari Kight, who was inactive for last week’s NFC Championship with a knee injury.
There are no other real areas of concern. Brady Russell
and Drake Thomas both left the win over the Los Angeles Rams with injuries, but Mike Macdonald didn’t seem too concerned about either. Fullback Robbie Ouzts may be a bit more of a question mark regarding his neck injury, but he was listed as a limited participant for a practice that never happened.
Another notable addition to the injury report is safety Julian Love, who also was listed as limited with a shoulder injury. Love missed much of the regular season with a hamstring injury.
Here’s the full injury report, which at this point should be zero cause for concern since the Seahawks aren’t playing this weekend. Mike Macdonald said there will be something of “a normal week cadence on Thursday” before the team flies out to San Jose on Sunday to prepare for the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
