With the halfway mark of the season coming, and the trade deadline approaching fast, Colorado Rockies fans are thinking about rebuilding and roster construction. It’s possible the Rockies make some trades, but it’s also quite possible that they keep some core players to build around
for the future.
Over the last few years, Brenton Doyle and Ezequiel Tovar have won Gold Gloves; Hunter Goodman won a Silver Slugger and was an All-Star in 2025; and Jordan Beck has shown flashes of brilliance. All four have at one point or another been thought of as part of the Rockies future. But that could also mean they are viewed as potential trade chips to bring back a haul of prospects to build a better team in the future.
But let’s ask a hypothetical question this week: If you could only keep one of those four players to build around, who would you keep?
