It often feels like NFL injury reports are full of players early in the week only to get whittled down to a much smaller list by the time Friday comes. Some of that is due to the violence that takes place
week to week in the NFL, leading players to being dinged up early in the week. Other times, “better safe than sorry” and veteran rest help bulk up the numbers on the list.
Starting this week, the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots had 18 players who were either limited or did not practice on Wednesday. Five others were listed as full participants but still had injuries, ailments or rest they were dealing with. Thursday’s practice saw some changes, improvements and new additions, while the Browns got mostly positive news for Friday’s practice.
On Friday, just five players were limited in practice, combined for both sides, with three having questionable statuses for Sunday:
Browns Injury Report
- DT Adin Huntington – Concussion – Limited – Questionable
- TE David Njoku – Knee – Limited – Questionable
- S Rayshawn Jenkins – Wrist, Back – Limited – No game day designation
- WR Jerry Jeudy – Knee – Limited – No game day designation
Patriots Injury Report
- S Kyle Dugger – Knee – Limited – Questionable
While Dugger has been playing sparingly, Njoku is an important piece of Cleveland’s offense and Huntington has been a unique 3-way player for the team. Sunday’s inactive report will be interesting as we find out the status of all three questionable players 90 minutes before Week 8 kicks off.
