Barcelona have reportedly scheduled a medical for Joao Cancelo on Friday as the Catalan giants look to complete a loan transfer for the full-back.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Cancelo is due at the club
tomorrow for medical tests, with the transfer expected to be announced after that.
Barcelona sporting director Deco has already admitted that Cancelo
is due at the club soon and the deal will hopefully be completed shortly.The Catalans have already reached an agreement with Al-Hilal for Cancelo to move on loan, with manager Simone Inzaghi admitting the full-back is now considered surplus to requirements.
“Cancelo is not in our plans and the club is working on it,” he said when asked about Cancelo amid talk of a return to Barcelona.
The Portugal star will then be hoping to make second debut with the club as soon as possible. Barca take on Racing in the last 16 of the Copa del Rey after the Super Cup and then face Real Sociedad in La Liga on January 18th.
