Good morning everyone!
We’re still a few days away from Tottenham Hotspur football and killing time before we get there.
So let’s talk about autumn, because it’s supposed to be autumn (according to the calendar).
It feels as if the last remaining assemblages of summer are being stripped away here in Washington DC. We had some higher temperatures this week but the autumn weather returned this weekend with the rain.
We’re so close to autumn. So close. But can it really be autumn if temperatures in DC are
supposed to hit 77F on Thursday? I don’t think so.
And a special, pitiable shout-out to California and its scorching temperatures. My parents showed me the thermometer read 107F in their southern Californian enclave on Sunday.
When I think of autumn, there are a few artists that come to mind. One of them are The Kinks, who of course came out with Autumn Almanac.
And that’s how we’re beginning this week – not with Autumn Almanac, because we’ve done that before, but with a track from that very same album.
After today we only have a few more days to go until Tottenham football returns. Come on You Spurs!
