Former Bayern Munich and German national team great Bastian Schweinsteiger absorbed the last two Germany games and thinks he has the ultimate XI to lead the Germans into the World Cup this summer.
The set-up does not look all that different from what many are expecting head coach Julian Nagelsmann to use when the team arrives for its base camp, which will be held at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina:
As you
can see, this aligns pretty closely with what many would expect Nagelsmann to roll out in North America. The one area where Schweinsteiger might be projecting is in the central midfield, where Felix Nmecha could actually miss the competition due to injury.
Otherwise, an attack featuring both Jamal Musiala and Florian appears to be something that everyone — yes, EVERYONE — can get behind!
What do you think? Is Basti on to something…or does he need to re-think his selections?
