Recapping Indiana football’s monster Sunday in the transfer portal

No program in all of college football had a better week than No. 1 Indiana.

First, the Hoosiers dominated No. 9-seed Alabama 38-3 in the Rose Bowl, which doubled as a College Football Playoff Quarterfinal, on Thursday. It was the largest postseason loss in program history for the Crimson Tide and wasn’t truly competitive at any point.

Then, on Sunday, Indiana saw a wave of transfer portal prospects announce their commitments to the program as the Hoosiers reload for 2026 while simultaneously preparing

for a Peach Bowl matchup against No. 5-seed Oregon.

• An in-conference defensive back with several seasons of playing experience.

Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh

• A talented wide receiver who scored the only touchdowns against Indiana in the 2024 and 2025 battles for the Old Brass Spittoon.

Kansas State edge rusher Tobi Osunsanmi

• A talented, highly-rated edge rusher out of Kansas State.

Cincinnati safety Jiquan Sanks

• A highly productive defensive back out of Cincinnati.

Boston College running back Turbo Richard

• A strong, cerebral running back who brings versatility in the passing game.

Notre Dame defensive end Joshua Burnham

• An experienced edge rusher who played well against the Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff.
