LFC, Gunners vying with Bayern for Jeltsch? (TEAMtalk)
If Bayern Munich really wants to pursue VfB Stuttgart center-back Finn Jeltsch, it could have to outduel Arsenal and Liverpool:
Liverpool and Arsenal have joined Bayern Munich in the race to sign a German defender who could become a ‘pillar’ of their teams in the not-too-distant future.
VfB Stuttgart’s teenage sensation Finn Jeltsch is emerging as one of the most sought-after young defenders in Europe, with the summer transfer window fast approaching and major interest mounting from elite sides. Sources
indicate they would only entertain offers in the region of €50 million—an “exceptionally high” sum that reflects their confidence in his long-term potential and their reluctance to lose a key player amid their own ambitions.
Liverpool and Arsenal lead the chase. Scouts from both clubs have been regular observers at Stuttgart’s matches, drawn to Jeltsch’s ball-playing ability and his suitability for the high-pressing, intense style favoured in England. Liverpool view him as a strategic addition to their defensive depth, while Arsenal see parallels with their recent investments in young, progressive centre-backs under Mikel Arteta.
Domestically, Bayern Munich are closely monitoring the Germany U21 international, with some German outlets dubbing him the “next-gen Mats Hummels” for his elegance and vision from the back. Bayern regard him as a potential future pillar for their defence and have been in contact with his team.
Getting Jelstch will not be easy for any of these three clubs, but considering the somewhat strained relationship that Bayern Munich and VfB Stuttgart have after the Nick Woltemade saga, it might be difficult for the Bavarians to secure this young defender.
Vušković says HSV loan was best decision (Bild via Get German Football News)
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Luka Vušković is not hiding it — he loves playing in Germany:
🔵⚪️⚫️ Luka Vuskovic on if joining Hamburg was the best decision of his life:
“Yes. I knew it from the day I signed my contract.”
And if he returns to Tottenham in the summer:
“I can’t and won’t say anything about that or about the future in general. I’m their player, and I have a contract until 2030.”
Vušković seems to be giving off every hint that he does not want to play for Tottenham Hotspur, but he might not have a choice. Some recent rumors have indicated that the Croatian will ask for another season at Hamburger SV, which could potentially buy Bayern Munich some time to decide if it wants to bid on the defender…and figure out exactly how much it would like to spend on him.
Arsenal is, indeed, leading on Goretzka (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Arsenal really might be the leader in the clubhouse to get Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka this summer:
✅ It is TRUE: Arsenal are currently leading the race for Leon Goretzka. This is indeed true from Goretzka’s point of view. The Gunners didn’t make an offer in January, but they did signal that they were aware of the fact that Goretzka was considering a move away from Bayern. There were very concrete talks with Atletico Madrid – their sporting director was in Munich. The player’s goal is to move to the Premier League; he would love to play for Arsenal. Of course, he can’t guarantee that Arsenal will come back again in the summer with a concrete offer. In his heart, he feels this would be a perfect next club.
I heard he loves the Premier League and his playing style suits English football. However, he’s not focused on one club and only one club this summer. If Arsenal are there, he’d be more than happy to sit at the table and listen to offers. Tottenham are also interested, and that could be an option, but Spurs are not as attractive an option as Arsenal right now. Arsenal are playing very well at the moment, and they’re in the Champions League. For Leon Goretzka, it would be a great thing to win the Champions League with another club. So, we have to wait and see if Arsenal make an offer!

Barca’s striker list (ESPN)
FC Barcelona is assembling a list…of strikers to pursue if the club does not bring back Robert Lewandowski:
Barcelona are considering moves for either Atletico Madrid’s Julián Álvarez or Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic as they look to sign a striker in the summer, according to AS. Barcelona are planning for the possible departure of the 37-year-old Robert Lewandowski when his contract expires and questions have started to emerge about the club’s options in the position, with the chances of moving for Manchester City’s Erling Haaland or Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane viewed as “extremely remote.” Deco will stay as Barcelona’s sporting director if Joan Laporta wins the club’s presidential election and Alvarez is his favored option, although Atleti would demand around €100 million for his departure, while Vlahovic could leave Juventus as a free agent if he doesn’t sign new terms.
