Robin Roefs: 3/10
Made a couple of routine saves in the first half but handing Forest the second goal was a killer, decision making with the ball at his feet seemed to be a bit suspect with the visitors cutting off passing lanes.
Nordi Mukiele: 4/10
Went missing at the back post a couple of times from set pieces, leaving a man free to score, and had trouble with Gibbs-White finding space. Seemed a bit upset at the half-time reaction from the fans but worked really hard after the break despite the game being over and was harshly adjudged
to have fouled the goalkeeper for the disallowed goal.
Dan Ballard: 5/10
Plenty of effort from the big man tonight and not to blame for any of the goals, had a goal harshly disallowed when he flung himself at the ball and made a great first half run into the Forest box during the first half when the game was still 0-0.
Omar Alderete: 3/10
Forest were jumping on Alderete’s passing in the first half, with the team struggling to cope with that press. Like Ballard had some moments in the opposition box but a game to forget.
Trai Hume: 3/10
You could say he was unlucky with the own goal but he should not have turned his back on the ball, then also had a man behind him in yards of space for the third goal.
Granit Xhaka (C): 4/10
Played some good first time balls forward that caused Forest problems but unfortunately they came when the game was gone.
Noah Sadiki: 3/10
Really poor ball early on set the tone for a nightmare first half spell, when it really should have been a wake up call. Got around the pitch well but couldn’t stem the tide.
Habib Diarra: 3/10
Game passed him by for long periods, got back at times to try and win the ball back but struggled to make an impact.
Chris Rigg: 3/10
Had a decent chance when the score was still goalless but didn’t really trouble the goalkeeper, got down the line well but let a few other opportunities pass after not wanting to use his right foot.
Enzo Le Fee: 4/10
Did well to pick out Rigg for a good chance early in the first half but didn’t see enough of the ball until the game was gone. Did look far better when he was more central after the break and saw a thunderbolt of a shot well saved.
Brian Brobbey: 3/10
Battled well with the defenders and there were a few instances of him keeping hold the ball and picking out a teammate but never a threat in the box.
Substitutes
Reinildo: 5/10
Came on as a left wing back after a change to a back 3 and did OK.
Wilson Isidor: 5/10
There were a few signs of Isidor and Brobbey combining well, with Isidor at least giving Forest something to think about.
Man of the Match: Dan Ballard
Don’t really like to give a defender man of the match in a game where we conceded five at home but I thought Ballard still came away with some credit, worked hard throughout and flung himself at everything he could in both boxes.
