The Steelers elevated some secondary help ahead of their Monday night Wild Card matchup against the Houston Texans.
Pittsburgh promoted cornerbacks Tre Flowers and D’Shawn Jamison from the practice squad
to the 53-man roster, the team announced Monday.
The two defenders will revert back to the practice squad following the game. During the playoffs, there are no limits on how often players can be elevated.
Flowers is a veteran cornerback and special teamer who was briefly on the Steelers’ active roster while wide receiver D.K. Metcalf was suspended in December. Jamison has already been elevated three times this year; he filled in at gunner against the Ravens last week on special teams and earned praise from several media members.
The Steelers will kick off against the Texans at 8:15 p.m. EST on ESPN/ABC.
