We got a late start on the Kentucky Wildcats Pro Day as the ESPN app decided not to work. However, there are a few quick notes to make as the festivities are just now getting underway.
As the team opened
up in some workouts by position and individual, Jayden Quaintance did take the floor and continued to work on getting that knee back to full strength. While he didn’t do any scrimmaging, it was nice to see him getting as much work in as he did. The hope is he’ll be back before the calendar turns to 2026, and today helped keep those hopes alive.
Otega Oweh was not in the workouts, however, as he is still recovering from the turf toe injury that has sidelined him for the last several weeks. The initial expectation was that Oweh would be back by Big Blue Madness, but with that coming this Saturday, it’s fair to wonder if he’ll remain sidelined through it and into the exhibition season.
We have a few more weeks until the Cats really get into game action. Let’s hope both continue to progress so we can see them take the court for Big Blue Madness and maybe even for Quaintance take the floor before SEC play tips off in January.
Go Cats!
