Triple-A Oklahoma City
Christian Romero threw a gem for the Oklahoma City, pitching six innings and giving up no runs on two hits and no walks, while striking out six, leading the Comets to a 6-1 win over the Sacramento River Cats (Giants). Esteury Ruiz hit his 14th home run, and stole his 62nd base. Dalton Rushing caught and had two walks and a sacrifice
fly. Alex Freeland had two doubles, and Justin Dean also contributed two hits.
Double-A Tulsa
In a back-and-forth game, James Tibbs III hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning as the Tulsa Drillers came back and defeated the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners) 10-8. Zyhir Hope had his first productive game in Double-A with three hits and four RBIs. Tibbs, who added a double, now has four home runs, two triples, and two doubles in his last seven games. Adam Serwinowski, after making six starts for High-A with a 1.83 ERA, was roughed up a bit in his first start for Double-A Tulsa. He surrendered five runs (three earned), six hits, and two walks in three innings of work. Carson Hobbs closed out the game with two perfect innings and has followed up his 30 innings in High-A with a 2.27 ERA, with 23 innings in Double-A with a 1.59 ERA.
