Marc Casado says he’s already spoken with Barcelona boss Hansi Flick about his future amid talk that he will be sold by the club this summer.
The midfielder has made it clear that his preference is to stay at the Camp Nou, but he’s also aware that he is one of seven midfielders battling for a starting spot at present.
Casado and Flick spoke at the end of the previous campaign and the midfielder told La Vanguardia: “It was a good conversation. As long as the club and the manager want me, I’ll give my
all to help the team.”
Flick is said to have told Casado “to consider a move to get more playing time” but the 22-year-old will wait until the end of pre-season before making a final decision.
“If I ever leave, I’d definitely like to come back. As long as the club and the coach want me, my first choice will be Barça,” he added.
Casado seems to have attracted plenty of interest already but one thing seems clear – he’s in absolutely no rush to leave the club he joined when he was just 13.
