Lamine Yamal has taken another record off Kylian Mbappe with his latest goal for Barcelona against Aston Villa in the Champions League.
The teenager struck the opening goal of the match after just seven minutes at Camp Nou, profiting from a mistake by João Gomes to lash home his 14th Champions League goal.
Yamal is now the player with the most goals in the Champions League before the age of 20, moving one ahead of Mbappe’s previous tally.
The Barcelona teenager can also extend his record further as he does not celebrate his 20th birthday until July of next year.
Yamal’s goal is also his third in the competition this season and adds to his tally of 10 in La Liga already in 2026-27.
Barcelona’s No. 10 also has 11 assists to his name in what’s been a fantastic start to the campaign with his club side after helping Spain win the World Cup in the summer.
