Bayern Munich star Luis Díaz picked up right where he left off when he took the field for Colombia in a World Cup tune-up vs. Costa Rica.
Díaz was named Man of the Match as he tallied a goal, an assist, and five key passes in 74 minutes of action during a 3-1 victory:
For as long as this video stays posted, here is the goal from Díaz:
Díaz was a magnificent pickup last summer for Bayern Munich and one of board member for sport Max Eberl’s best moves. Díaz had an amazing 26 goals and 23 assists in 51 games across all competitions. The Colombian was a pivotal player for the Bavarians and some would say that helped place a little more urgency within Bayern Munich’s attacking play with his dribbling, vision, and darting runs.
In addition, Díaz brought an element to the attack, which allowed the team to change its look when needed and stretch the field. As it stands, Díaz could be carrying his momentum from club season right into the World Cup.
